● The CompresSeal-Technology can be applied in all packaging laminates, where blown PE films or cast PP films as sealants are used
● Especially for packaging formats with overlapping seals like: Vertical and horizontal FFS, Stand-up pouches, Quadro bags
● Special, patented embossing pattern, which is applied to the sealant film surface towards the package inside
● Embossing pattern reduces the coefficient of friction (COF) also of sticky sealants, like mLLDPE films even without the need to add migrating slip agents like Erucaamide (ESA)
● Films can be laminated both adhesive and by extrusion lamination
● For anti-counterfeiting, also the brand owner’s logo could be embossed on the package inside

PET/PE or PET/Alu/PE, OPE/PE (EcoLam), BOPP/CPP

Q: How is the embossing done?
A: It is a hot embossing process after the usual film manufacturing process.

Q: Is that embossing process a proven technology?
A: Hot embossing is a widely used technology e.g. for the volume production of baby diaper films, release liner films for the rubber and SMC-industry, office films and many other polyolefinic films of PE and/or PP.

Q: Will the film formulation be different?
A: No, except not using critical migration slip additives, the same and proven polymer grades for a given application can be used.

Q: Will the film formulation be different?
A: Embossed sealing films are appr. 30% less heavy per m² at the same measured thickness. Thus the compressability and tightness of overlapping seals is improved.

The materials can run on a Vertical Form Fill Seal Machine(VFFS), a Horizontal Form Fill Seal Machine(HFFS), a Pouch Filling Machine, or Liquid Filling machinery. There are newer machines on the market that are versatile and can run a wide array of formats including pouches and quad seal.
